Tom Boudreau

Tom Boudreau and his wife Ellen have lived in Coventry since 1995. They are the proud parents of Justin, Corey and Meghan, all Coventry High School graduates. Tom has been an active member of the community as the previous Chair and member of the Coventry Cemetery Commission for over ten years, volunteering and activity host for the Coventry High School Project Graduation and Coventry Scholarship Foundation, coaching multiple Coventry recreational athletics for his children’s teams. Formerly a Behaviorist for the Connecticut Institute for the Blind/Oak Hill, he currently is an Educational Consultant in the Bureau of Special Education for the State Department of Education. He has served as the Vice Chair of the Traumatic Brain Injury Advisory Board, and appointed representative to the Connecticut Council on Developmental Board and Autism Spectrum Disorder Advisory Council of Connecticut. He is the Governor appointed Vice Chair of the State Rehabilitation Council, the state representative for the National Instructional Materials Accessibility Center and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Part B Grant Coordinator. He is responsible for providing technical assistance, information and compliance with state and federal law regarding special education for school districts across the state of Connecticut, as well complaint resolution and outcomes of application regarding IDEA and state focus monitoring projects.  In his spare time he enjoys golf, kayaking, and hiking.


Valdis Vinkels

Valdis Vinkels and his wife, Sylvie, have lived in town for 20 years. Their two grandchildren attend the Coventry schools. He has worked as an attorney for over 50 years. Valdis has served on the Coventry Town Council, the Inland Wetlands Commission, and the Zoning Board of Appeals. He also served two terms as Judge of Probate for the Andover district. I am running for office because I look to share my professional expertise in a way that supports our Coventry community.Within the framework of applicable statutes, case law and established practice in Coventry I will support equitable decisions based on the facts of each application.”
